AWA Spiritual Literacy Group (SLG) has entered its sixth year of inspirational discourse and fellowship! Since its first meeting in September 2012, SLG has created a community of dynamic international and interfaith women who embrace the key concepts of Oneness and Unity in Diversity. SLG is currently Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim and agnostic, honoring and celebrating everyone’s distinct religious background and spiritual path, becoming soul sisters in the process.
We have read and discussed sixteen books with spiritual themes from celebrated authors including the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Viktor Frankl, Sue Monk Kidd, Paramahansa Yogananda and Eckhart Tolle.
SLG meets two mornings a month (generally the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month), and includes a short group meditation and interfaith devotional, as well as discussion. To join and for more information contact the AWA group facilitator Kate Weisman at [email protected]
