Hiking Group
Welcome to the AWA Hiking Group! We are looking forward to getting out onto the beautiful Hong Kong trails with you.
We hike on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Birgit Bernhardt is your hike leader.
You should be prepared for rough, possibly muddy trails, heat, sun, rain, etc. Please wear hiking shoes/boots with good tread and dri-fit (not cotton) clothing. Bring a daypack containing a hat, sunscreen, sufficient water, and a few snacks. You may also want to bring a spare shirt to change into after the hike. We will often go out for lunch after a hike; you are very welcome to join us at your own expense. If you need to bring a lunch, we will note that in the hike write-up.
In the middle of the week we will send out the notice for the following Tuesday’s hike. The hike leader’s mobile number will be in the hike notice - Please RSVP via WhatsApp if you plan to join us for the hike. We hike in all parts of the S.A.R., from Hong Kong Island to the New Territories, Lantau to Sai Kung. We look forward to hiking with you!
