We will experience the remarkable M+ exhibition by Zao Wou-Ki (1920-2013), the Beijing-born artist who moved to Paris, achieved global acclaim, and bridged the divide between Eastern and Western traditions of abstract art. 

We are lucky to be led by a key figure in Hong Kong’s high-end art scene, Alberto Annesi, Managing Director of Art Perspective. Alberto also knew the artist personally, and is especially excited to be guiding those of us approaching Zao Wou-Ki’s art for the first time! 

Zao Wou-Ki is known as a Chinese-French painter famous for lyrical, gestural works blending Chinese ink sensibilities with French abstract expressionism. 

He was a close, cherished family friend of the de Villepin family (Former French PM Dominique, and his son Arthur of Villepin Gallery here on Hollywood Road) who grew up knowing him as a “joyful” man. 

We will have an optional lunch in the M+ Member’s Lounge at 12:30, at your own cost, followed by the tour at 1:30pm. If you can only come for the tour, still register here as normal.
