AWA Community feedback for Kat’s classes:
I joined the class with a brand-new sewing machine and was amazed at how quickly I felt comfortable using it to create simple, practical projects. Kat’s guidance made all the difference — she not only taught us the fundamentals of sewing but also shared a wealth of tips and techniques that took her years to master, helping us make rapid progress from the very start.
In just a short time, our group has become a supportive community of shared interests and camaraderie, while also producing tangible results we can genuinely feel proud of. I highly recommend ‘Sewing with Kat’.

I have had a sewing machine for about 15 years, and for 15 years I have been scared of using it. Then I saw Kat's sewing class advertised through AWA and I decided to take the plunge and enrol and I'm so glad I did.
Kat is a patient, fun, amazing teacher who threw us into the deep end sewing zips in our first class. I was terrified but was guided throughout the process amazingly and finished my first class feeling much more confident and much less scared of my machine.
I'm so glad I found this class, it has not only been wonderful for learning sewing and continuously pushing my boundaries but I have made some lovely friends and enjoyed every moment of it.

I was excited to start Glow and Sew classes - my sewing machine has sat in the cupboard for years and I had very basic sewing skills when using it. I wanted to expand my skills, knowledge and confidence and try projects I never would have had the confidence to try before.
I’ve been so blessed to have Kat’s guidance as an extremely patient and supportive teacher - who also takes her time with each of us and explains things so well. Not only has Kat been an incredible support but we’ve come together as a creative community - where we’re each championing each other’s projects.
Looking forward to expanding my sewing experience with more workshops as they’re offered!!
