Feng Shui Walk Through Central
Feng Shui, the theory of tapping into the energy of surroundings to create prosperity, has long been practiced in Hong Kong. Companies big and small consult Feng Shui experts to determine auspicious dates for deals and launches and to create environments that will welcome good fortune. Feng Shui is also taken rather seriously before the buildings are built. On this tour we have a unique opportunity to walk with Feng Shui Business Consultant Susanne Schutz, the owner of Schutz Consulting, around Central and hear fascinating stories about the architecture and more. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water. We will organise an optional lunch afterwards at your own cost. See Susanne’s tour description below.
*Feng Shui Walk Through Central*
On this walk, we will visit some of the major Hong Kong landmark buildings – including the HSBC building, the Bank of China building, Lippo Center, and Cheung Kong Center. We will learn more about their Feng Shui history, as well as their most important Feng Shui features and how these features impact the “luck” of the occupants of the building itself and the surrounding buildings. I will talk about some of the most important concepts of Feng Shui, including (but not limited to) the following: The meaning of “Feng Shui”, the concept of Yin and Yang in Feng Shui, the importance of the 5 elements in Feng Shui and how to identify them in your environment, the significance of mountains and water in the study of Feng Shui, what is “Qi” and how is it generated, what constitutes “good Feng Shui” and “bad Feng Shui”, the use of Feng Shui in a business context, why environmental sustainability is an important factor in keeping Hong Kong’s Feng Shui alive and vibrant.
*Starting point:* This walk starts in Statue Square outside MTR exit K. The tour ends on the overpass between BOC and Lippo Center.
