Beginner Mahjong Class (Taiwanese style)

Our experienced instructor, Sandra Collins-deLange, has years of Mahjong experience and are excited to introduce you to this culturally rich game.  She will guide you through the fundamentals while sharing their passion for Mahjong.

With permission from the Ladies Recreation Club (LRC), we will follow LRC's House Rules for Taiwanese Mahjong. These easy-to-follow rules, complete with clear graphics and scoring instructions are widely used by Mahjong clubs across Hong Kong. You’ll receive your own copy of the LRC's 17-page, full-color rulebook to reference throughout the course.

It runs for 3 consecutive Wednesdays.  We look forward to welcoming you on the following Wednesdays: March 11th, 18th and 25th, 2026. 

After completing the class, AWA members can attend exclusive practice sessions to continue refining their skills. These sessions, led by our instructors, provide a great opportunity to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the game.
