Join the AWA and Hong Kong community to learn how to play Taiwanese-style Mahjong! This popular game blends skill, patience, strategy, and social fun.

Our experienced teachers, Sandra Collins-deLange, have years of Mahjong experience and are excited to introduce you to this culturally rich game. She will guide you through the fundamentals while sharing their passion for Mahjong.

With permission from the Ladies Recreation Club (LRC), we will follow LRC's House Rules for Taiwanese Mahjong. These easy-to-follow rules, complete with clear graphics and scoring instructions are widely used by Mahjong clubs across Hong Kong. You’ll receive your own copy of the LRC's 13-page, full-color rulebook to reference throughout the course.

It runs for 2 consecutive Wednesdays. We look forward to welcoming you on the following Wednesdays: November 26 and December 3, 2025.

After completing the class, AWA members can attend exclusive practice sessions to continue refining their skills. These sessions, led by our teachers, provide a great opportunity to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the game.

Please note: You must attend the first class in order to participate in the full course.
