A Mad Asian Vegetarian Food Tour - Sheung Wan
We love our little home, our island city, with all of its little nooks and corners that are bursting with food choices. There is nothing like discovering a favourite neighborhood cha cha teng or dai pai dong and diving into noodles, dumplings, banh mis, and more!
Walk around Sheung Wan with Simran Savlani, cookbook author and developer of Hong Kong-based “A Spark of Madness” sauces and jams, for drinks, lots of food, conversations about food and fun madness!
It will be an Asian Vegetarian food tour, during which we will visit some cherished, quaint, and hidden spots. You’ll get a taste of some of Simran’s “Madness” sauces and visit restaurants that inspired some of the recipes in her cookbook!
A Restaurant Management graduate from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, Simran Savlani is adept at melding cuisines, flavors, and ingredients, and has launched restaurants across Asia and even Africa.
When whipping up a dish or product her aim is to make it versatile and a little mad with unique combinations. You can always find her smiling whilst digging into a bowl of noodles at your neighbourhood dai pai dong.
