About this Course
This Hong Kong Cantonese Mahjong is a classic and simple version to master. Melding sets in a hand and scoring is straight forward and quick. Once you learn this you can easily play other versions of mahjong. The course will cover basic rules of play with visuals and explanations. There will be detailed handouts for each day and supervised play throughout the course. The last lesson will be after Chinese New Year when we will regroup and recap. Rehana will get you playing like a pro while enjoying the learning and having fun too.
You can also play at AWA on Monday afternoons to continue practising. Once you complete this course, you will enter the fun mahjong world of friendships and community.

About the Teacher
Hong Kong Cantonese Mahjong course is taught by Rehana who has been teaching this classic version of mahjong around Hong Kong in clubs and giving private lessons to groups as well. Also, she has been teaching large groups at AWA for the past three years and also set up and coordinated for 10 years, the popular Monday afternoon group , Mahjong Madams, where after completing the course, ladies can come and practice with experienced players. She has also been featured in two Chinese newspapers as a foreigner teaching a local favourite. Participants have enjoyed these courses and found her passion for mahjong fun and infectious.
