Beginner Mahjong Class (Taiwanese style)

Join the AWA and Hong Kong community in learning how to play this popular form of Mahjong -- Taiwanese style Mahjong!  It's a game of skill, patience and strategy, as well as being a very social game of fun and comradeship. 

We offer this course for beginners.  It runs for 3 consecutive Wednesdays at the AWA Member Space in Sheung Wan.  Our teacher, Sandra Collins-deLange, has played for many years and is happy to share with you the joy of playing this very local and cultural game.   

With the permission of the Ladies Recreation Club, we follow LRC's "House Rules for Taiwanese Mahjong”.  Aside from their excellent graphics and easy to follow rules and scoring, you’ll discover most other clubs in Hong Kong using the same LRC document. When taking this course, you will receive your own copy of this 13 page full colour document.
