Intro to Linocutting with Lucy Parris

Beat the heat and enjoy an afternoon of creativity with your friends! Learn the basics to get started with lino printing from local artist Lucy Parris. This is a three hour session where you will learn how to design, cut and print a lino print. No experience of linocutting is necessary nor any particular drawing skills. You will be guided each step of the way.

About Linocutting

Linocutting is a variation of woodcutting in which a carving is made into a surface and the raised areas become a vivid mirror image, which is then often printed onto paper or fabric. The linocut is an established print medium and used in the contemporary art world among famous artists.
