Join us for our upcoming Charity Chat, a casual coffee meet & mingle in our cozy Member Lounge as we hear more about Sunshine Action, a poverty relief organization who is meeting the needs of our community in practical ways. You'll be able to hear stories from their CEO, Sunny Mak, and get to know like-minded, caring AWA members and coordinators who volunteer with different charities around our city.
This is a great opportunity to get to know some of our team and to hear more about the philanthropic side of AWA in an informal setting. We can't wait to share more with you!
About this month's Featured Charity
We're honored to host the CEO of SUNSHINE ACTION 耀陽行動, Sunny Mak, as our special guest at this upcoming Charity Chat. SUNSHINE ACTION 耀陽行動 is a poverty relief charity organization whose main focus is on the donation of the “Sunshine Fortune Bags” containing bags full of rice, pasta, dry foods, sauces, toiletries, and other necessities to low-income individuals; they also support homeless programs and the training of the interns and students in charity activities. From its foundation to Sept 2023, Sunshine Action has conducted programs and donated food and other basic needs materials to over 800 charity centers and organizations in 23 Countries, estimated to benefit over 380,000 people around the world. Globally, Sunshine Action's programs cover 14 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
