Helping Hand: Nagomi Pastel Painting with the Elderly - Fun Activity!!!
Helping Hand is looking for volunteers to assist their staff as they teach the elderly arts and crafts.
About Helping Hands
The mission of Helping Hands is to meet the practical and emotional needs of the elderly through housing and care of senior citizens. They provide affordable elderly homes to HK residents through their Siu Sai Wan elderly home in Chai Wan.
- Aim 1. Through social activities and handicrafts, let the elders feel care from AWA volunteers.
- Aim 2. Help the elders to improve their hands-on abilities and mobility.
About the Activity
The activities will be taught by the staff of the elderly home and the Volunteers will assist the elderly with a handicraft activity. AWA volunteers and their family can also mingle with the residents, chat with them, or even sing with them. A charity staff will be on hand to facilitate the interactions and ensure everything runs smoothly.

How to get there: Go to Chai Wan MTR station. Take Green Mini-bus no 47M from Chai Wan MTR Station to the Siu Sai Wan Community Hall - 小西灣社區會堂(一般叫橋底/燈位前落) (10-15 mins). See Siu Sai Wan Estate/Shopping Mall on the opposite side, cross the road to reach Sui Moon House.
