You're learning to speak Cantonese, now learn to read traditional characters in Cantonese pronunciation (and bonus -- your tones and speaking ability will improve, too)!

If you're a beginner, or if you speak Cantonese well but never learned characters, this intro to traditional characters course is for you.

Join Sue Marguerite of Cantonese Corner and CantoLingo for a fun adventure into the characters. Learn them the way she did -- with materials adapted from Chinese University. In addition to learning 40 basic characters, you'll also learn the characters you see in mahjong, and be among the first to play CantoLingo's character card game, Swap & Steal.

Your teacher: AWA member Susan Dootson is an over 30-year permanent resident of Hong Kong who has learned to speak, read and write Cantonese to an advanced degree. With a YouTube channel of over 45,000 subscribers (@CantoneseCorner) and a growing presence on Instagram at CantoLingo (@cantolingo2), Susan loves sharing her knowledge of Hong Kong, of Cantonese and of traditional characters in Cantonese pronunciation.
