This activity is now full. Please click here to be placed on waitlist.
Join the AWA and Hong Kong community to learn how to play Taiwanese-style Mahjong! This popular game blends skill, patience, strategy, and social fun.
With permission from the Ladies Recreation Club (LRC), we will follow LRC's House Rules for Taiwanese Mahjong. These easy-to-follow rules, complete with clear graphics and scoring instructions are widely used by Mahjong clubs across Hong Kong. You’ll receive your own copy of the LRC's 17-page, full-color rulebook to reference throughout the course.
It runs for 3 consecutive Wednesdays. We look forward to welcoming you on the following Wednesdays: Sep 23rd & 30th and Oct 7, 2026.
After completing the class, AWA members can attend exclusive practice sessions to continue refining their skills. These sessions, led by our instructors, provide a great opportunity to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the game.
NOTE: Attendance at the first class (Sep 23rd is essential, as it lays the foundation for the course. To ensure fairness to all participants, students who miss this foundation class will not be able to continue the course.
If you can't make this class, please click here to put your name down on our waiting list. We will get back you when we have a new class later.
