Paper Clay Bowl Art Class – Sculpt, Shape & Create!
Join us for our DIY Paper Clay Bowl Workshop and discover how to transform soft, lightweight paper fibre clay into a beautiful, handcrafted bowl or vessel.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to shape and form paper clay using simple hand-building techniques. This forgiving, easy-to-work material makes it perfect for beginners while still offering endless creative possibilities for experienced makers. You’ll explore shaping over molds or creating freeform organic designs, adding texture, sculptural edges, or carved details to make your piece uniquely yours.
As your bowl takes shape, we’ll guide you through refining, strengthening, and preparing it for drying. Once dry, your creation can be sanded, painted, sealed, or embellished at home to match your personal style—modern, rustic, or artfully expressive.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to hand-build bowls and small vessels with paper fibre clay
- Techniques for shaping over molds or creating freeform designs
- Ways to add texture, carving, and decorative details
- Tips for smoothing, strengthening, and finishing your piece
- How to paint, seal, and personalize your bowl after drying
Leave with a one-of-a-kind handmade bowl and the confidence to continue creating with paper clay on your own. No prior clay experience needed—just bring your creativity!
