A WAlk about: Shau Kei Wan Neighborhood
Join an active walk around the developing neighbourhood of Shau Kei Wan, located in the Eastern district of Hong Kong Island. The temples, seafood market, and ship yards are markers of the strong fishing communities once dominating the area, while the HK Museum of Coastal Defence serves as a reminder of the British royal military's strategic placement of Lei Yue Mun Fort.
We'll grab a waffle at the famed Master Low-Ley Food Shop and make our way down Shau Kei Wan Main Street taking in the sites, and end up at the newly renovated coastal defence museum for self-exploration. Let us know if you'll join for an optional lunch at Madam Hong, a social enterprise cafe in the museum providing work for adults with disabilities.
